RHINOPLASTY

The nose is an organ located in the center of the face, and is often referred to as the heart of the face. As such, any shape deformities or asymmetric appearances can be immediately noticeable and can be quite uncomfortable. Additionally, deviations in the cartilage and bone structures that obstruct breathing can significantly decrease quality of life. Fortunately, both functional and aesthetic issues can be addressed in a single surgical procedure.

There is a philosophy behind rhinoplasty, and my approach is to prioritize natural-looking results. A successful rhinoplasty can result in:

Prior to rhinoplasty surgery, a detailed examination, photo shoot, and mutual assessment of expectations is important and necessary. Both open and closed techniques can be used in the procedure, and modern technological advancements have improved the accuracy and success of the surgery. The Micromotor and Piezzosurgery systems, for example, can assist with obtaining better surgical results. The primary rhinoplasty procedure typically lasts about 1.5-2 hours. Hospitalization is not required after surgery, and patients can often be discharged on the same day or the following day. After 1 week, any thermoplastic or metal splints placed on the nose during surgery, as well as the silicone Doyle tampons that allow for breathing, will be removed. Swelling and bruising can be expected to subside within this week-long period. Routine check-ups are scheduled for 1, 3, 6, and 12 months after surgery.
