Breast augmentation surgery is performed to achieve a fuller appearance by placing silicone prostheses under the breast tissue in a suitable area. During the pre-operative examination, the plan for placing the prosthesis is determined [Submuscular (under the muscle), subfascial (under the fascia), and subglandular (under the breast tissue)].] Recent publications and technological developments indicate that the dual plane approach, which is mostly submuscular, provides more natural results. During the pre-operative examination, the shape (anatomical/round), surface type, and approximate volume of the prosthesis to be used are also determined. The surgery is performed by making an incision of about 3-4 cm from the breast fold. We recommend the use of a special bra that has a corset effect for 6-8 weeks after surgery. The surgical duration is 1-1.5 hours, and a hospital stay of 1-2 days is sufficient. Patients can return to their daily lives after being discharged from the hospital.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
The latest technology breast implants used today are lifelong if there are no problems.
The implant is placed under the breast tissue, so it has no negative effect on breast tissue or milk ducts.
You will be discharged with a compression bra after the surgery. It is necessary to wear this compression bra for 2 months. After that, wearing a bra is optional.
We decide on this based on the preoperative examination. If there is very little breast tissue, we prefer the partial submuscular (dual plane) approach. In cases where the thickness of the breast tissue is sufficient, the subfascial (sub-glandular) approach can be preferred.
We perform nerve blocks during the surgery, so the postoperative period is painless and comfortable.

The implants we use today have a gel-like consistency and are not liquid. Even under extreme force, there has been no observed rupturing.
Breast augmentation surgery can be performed from various locations depending on the level of sagging of the breast. It can also be combined with breast lift surgery. In breast augmentation surgery, there is a horizontal incision of 3-4 cm under the breast.
Yes, it can be done. It is a surgery that we frequently perform for mommy makeovers and post-bariatric (after obesity surgery) surgeries.
The incisions can be circular around the nipple, or in addition to that, a vertical line from the nipple to the bottom (lollipop-vertical scar) or in some cases, a T-shaped incision (lollipop scar) with a horizontal incision under the breast.
After breast augmentation alone, 5-7 days, and after breast lift with augmentation, 10-14 days of rest should be sufficient to return to daily life.
